Eric Lefkofsky motivation for starting Tempus was personal. He watch a family member actually being treated inside a clinical setting. And he realized how critical it was to bring technology to the very physicians that were seeing patients everyday. Tempus is a health-tech company that facilitate physician to deliver individualize treatment care. Their goal is to live in a world where each patient benefits from the treatment based on the data and knowledge aggregate of all the other patients who have come before him or her. That is what Tempus is delivering, as they can now gather genomic data, allowing physician to make decision while treating patients that could improve patient outcomes. In other words, Tempus.com is a platform or operating system to help physicians in clinic, while treating patients, analyze incredible amounts of data that is specific to a patient and make real-time decisions. This allow Tempus to now have the ability, in a personalize manner, to provide real hope.
What makes Tempus’ approach so uniquely innovative is their software platform. The challenges of trying to cut through all kinds of information is miniaturized. To bring genomic data into clinical care, Tempus combined the molecular data with the phenotypic data, and that combination of data will allow for powerful decisions.
This is a new and exciting era in modern medicine with Tempus.
