Start Your Vacation the Very Moment You Step On the Plane

Start Your Vacation the Very Moment You Step On the PlaneWant to enjoy that flight… even in economy class? Who doesn’t! We have gathered some pointers from the best people to advise: flight attendants! Flight attendants make a living out of passenger watching, and so they know a thing or two about habits that make for an enjoyable flight or indeed, a nightmare.

Earplugs

Earplugs are such a wonderfully simple invention, and you can buy them for less than £1 or $1! For flyers, they are vastly important, and yet are often ignored. Imagine being able to turn down the volume on all those crying babies, loud speakers or pilot announcements? That’s what earplugs do for you. They make the process so much easier, and they work well in busy hotels too.  If you want to splurge, some noise cancelling headphones are amazing for cancelling out noise.

Lavender makes it all better

How so? Well the tip is that bringing a small tube of lavender lotion can help you to escape from a smelly situation. Just dab some under your nostrils and you won’t know any more about the passenger next to you with BAD B.O. or the guy behind with foot rot.

Skip the meal

Special meals on board tend to all be bland and tasteless… and nobody wants to be guessing about what kind of meat they’re actually eating. Instead, make a homemade packed sandwich- you can bring food with you on most flights, as long as they’re not liquids and you’re not violating any food importing laws like that of Australia.

Pack with common sense

Medication should always be kept with you, in your carry-on baggage. Valuables, heirlooms, and in general anything you feel it would hurt to lose, should be brought in the carry on. You don’t know when you might be reunited with lost baggage, if at all.

These are only a few of our flight attendant inspired flying tips. Stay tuned for more pearls of wisdom from Get Lost In!
