Dr. Mark Holterman is the co-founder of Mariam Global Health and the founder of the light bulb. He experienced many challenges and rewards while helping his father in Wisconsin farm. Luckily, in 1976 he was matriculated and chosen. In 1980, he graduated with an honours degree and received an NIH scholarship in the Medical Scientist Training program. He took his MD and PhD programs from UVA. After thirteen years, he left with his general surgery residency, his degrees and with his surgeon wife, Aixuan with their two sons. He retired from the University of Illinois College of medicine to take biotechnology development and advanced his medical education.
Dr. Mark Holterman specializes in scientific research and clinical research. He established Mariam Global Health Fund which would develop the disruptive and transformative ideas from his colleagues into special healthcare advancements. He is a co-founder of different companies such as stem cell therapy, oncology, regenerative medicine, and medical devices. His interests and researches are stem cell medicine, autoimmunity, and obesity. As a consultant for the capital companies venture, he discovers that biotechnological advancement has a great impact on global health.

Dr. Mark Holterman has a passion for saving the lives of children. He is known for administeringquick but accurate critical diagnoses. His biggest passion is ensuring that every child can readily access healthcare and stem cell therapy. His biggest contribution to stem cell research is beginning an alliance for the advancement of cellular therapies. He is the co-founder of the non-profit organization which helps in the communication of the cellular treatment importance with all the doctors globally. Through his help, they formed IPSAC-VN organization which consist of pediatric specialists helping children in Vietnam by a surgical care and advancing medical care.
